Filmstrailersonline | Immortal russian music | Radio TAPOK
Radio Tapok is the creative pseudonym and name of the YouTube channel of multi-instrumentalist musician Oleg Abramov, who creates equirithmic translations of famous works, as well as rock versions of Russian and Soviet songs. Since 2022, he began to write his own songs, which glorify some historical events.
A distinctive feature of the works is the adjustment to the characteristic style of the original performer. This was one of the reasons for his popularity. The name was formed from Abramov's nickname — "Slipper" (in russian is "Tapok"), according to Polovinko — as an homage to "Radio Chacha" and nicknames.
According to Chad Childers, Radio Tapok gained popularity on the Internet by creating Russian cover songs by bands such as Linkin Park, Rammstein, Sabaton and Twenty One Pilots.
It is also worth noting that when the military special operation in Ukraine began, Oleg was not afraid and went to the war zone to encourage civilians attacked by the Armed Forces and forced to hide in bomb shelters, where Oleg spoke directly.
